We started our meeting with a minute’s
silence in memory of Beryl Pritchard, who sadly passed away that
day. Beryl was known to many on the Parish Council and our sympathies
go to Bob and their family at this very sad time.
IT in Mole Valley
We welcomed
Bob Thomas, Brockham resident and Head of IT at Mole Valley
to the meeting. He gave a fascinating presentation on
the future of IT in Mole Valley. It is intended that 100%
of Government Services will be available on line by December
2005.
Already certain services can be accessed on line. Did you
know that you can report an abandoned car, report housing repairs,
watch council and committee meetings via webcast, pay your
council tax, rent and parking fines and soon be able to view
planning
applications
via www.molevalley.gov.uk? In one month 4000 people viewed
the
website and that figure will continue to rise.
Parish Council Budget Plans
October is the
month when the Parish Council sets out its budget plans for
next year. If anyone has any proposals that require
funding from the Parish Council, please contact Celia Plumb
on 843471.
Drains maintained
We were really pleased to see the drains by
the bridge and the church were cleaned out today (6th September).
If there
is any
further flooding from these drains, please contact
Surrey County Council on 01372 832625 and ask for Jack Lee.
Buses4U
A
revolutionary new bus scheme has been started up called
Buses4U, it is a subsidised service operating whenever
and wherever you
want to go. It operates within the geographical
area bounded by the A24 to the west, the M25 to the north,
the A23 to
the East and the Surrey/Sussex border to the South.
Want to know
more? Call 01730 815518, e-mail to: - buses4u@tandridge.gov.uk

Our next meeting is on
Monday 4th October at 8pm in the Church Hall. Public time is
from 9pm. All
