Bogus
Caller returns An unknown female knocked on a premises
in Chichester Road, Dorking on 7th September at 12.45 and
asked its resident for a lift or some money
to Epsom hospital to see her mother as she lives with Sandra
at number 11 and has locked her door and car keys in the
house. The resident knew there was no No 11 in the
street and there was no car parked nearby. The occupant declined
to help.
The woman called
at another residential dwelling and asked the occupant
the same.
The occupant declined to help. She then left in the direction
of Calvert Road.
The woman was described
as white, 30-50 years, slim
build, with long blond dyed hair, 4 capped teeth, dirty
chipped finger and toe nails and dirty feet with bright
red lipstick
wearing a black velour wooly hat, a black suit jacket,
black trousers, mule shoes carrying a handbag.
One of the residents
stated
they believed this had happened to another resident
in the road this year who gave the female £5.
This
possibly links to a female seen in the same circumstances
in the Dorking
area about 5 months ago.
Please call police immediately if this
woman calls on you.
Indecent
Exposure
Police
are appealing for witnesses after a man indecently exposed
himself to a woman in Brockham on Tuesday 17 August.
The woman,
who is in her thirties, was jogging along the footpath
that runs alongside Middle Street just after 7pm. She saw
a
man with his back to her who she initially thought was urinating
but when he turned around as she got closer he was indecently
exposed and inappropriately touching himself.
The victim crossed
the road and saw the suspect get into a bright blue sports
hatchback which could have been a Volkswagen
Golf. He drove off in a southerly direction towards Strood
Green and was seen overtaking vehicles as he did so.
The
man was described as being white, in his mid 20s, between
5’8” and 5’10” tall, of an average
build, with short cropped dark brown hair and was clean shaven.
He was wearing a baggy dark blue v-necked T-shirt and blue
Jeans.

behaviour in Brockham. Surrey Police are fully aware and
will be patrolling regulary in the area to catch those responsible.
Those caught may
be subject to arrest and parents/guardians will be visited.
Residents

Secure windows and doors against burglary
During the hot weather people are leaving
windows and doors open. People have already been subject
to burglaries having left windows and doors insecure both
during the day and in the evening when they retire to bed.
People are therefore reminded to secure doors and windows
as there is a high risk of such burglaries taking place.
Theft of garden tools and building materials
Please could
you also ensure that any outbuildings and sheds are kept
secured. This advice follows a number of thefts
of tools and building materials that have occurred of late
in the area. The amount of thefts of garden machinery and
tools also rises during this period.
Be vigilant at Cash machines
People are reminded to be vigilant whilst
at cash point machines after another attempt was made to
steal someone’s
card from a cash point in Leatherhead last week.
A device
is placed in the card slot which then takes the card.
People normally then walk away thinking the machine
has swallowed the card. The offenders then take the device
out with the card.
Any sighting of a slivery gold Volkswagen Golf, index F936RPJ
should be reported to us on 0845 125 2222 or your local beat
officer.
Any sighting of a white vauxhall cavalier F996HMX should
also be reported to us on the above number also please.
Thank you.
