Beauty spot car parks
are once again being targeted
by thieves looking to steal from vehicles. There have been a number
of thefts from cars in the car parks at Headley and surround. Two
vehicles have also been targeted in car parks around Mickleham, as
well as car parks on Ranmore, Westhumble, Coldharbour and Boxhill.
Again, we urge people not to take belongings with them if they are
going to leave them in their vehicles.
Unfortunately hiding your
belongings will not stop the thief as they are most probably
watching where you hide them. I would ask that you to tell people
about this
in a bid to help us reduce the amount of theft from vehicles
this year. If you see suspicious activity in car parks please call
us
immediately.
Rise in dwelling
and non-dwelling burglaries
There has been a rise in the amount of dwelling
and non dwelling burglaries in the area of late. In particular
farms have
been targeted
with thieves stealing virtually anything they can get their hands
on. Welling Barn Farm at Russ Hill has been the subject of damages
also.
Lawn damaged at
Brockham Bowls Club
Brockham Bowls Club suffered yet more damage to
the turf over the school half term. It’s strongly believed
youths are the perpetrators and we appeal for any information as
to who
may be causing the damage.
Again any suspicious activity should be reported to us immediately.

White
Ford Escort Van and white Renault 19
Please
keep an eye out for a White Ford Escort van registration
number J38BGT. This has been seen on many occasions in the area acting
suspiciously particularly on Headley and Boxhill areas. If seen
please report it immediately to us. Also please bear in mind a
white Renault
19 registration number F851SPH. This vehicle is believed
to be involved in dwelling burglaries. Any sightings to be reported
to
us immediately
please.
Graffitti offender caught
We had good results with reference
to Graffitti which had been plastered virtually all over the town
and in some rural villages. The offender
was arrested and dealt with for over 40 offences.
Parents still ignoring Keep Clear markings
Some parents dropping
off and collecting children from school at Brockham continue
to park on the yellow lines outside the school
and disregard the safety of other road users and pedestrians,
despite my letter for help in this matter, sent to all parents/guardians.
I appeal to them again, not to park on that area and to exercise
due diligence and care for others around them, especially when
opening doors and moving off. I am still receiving complaints
about this
problem.
Thank you.
