Vivienne and Brian Boustred are opening their garden in Leigh for a demonstration by Compost Works for April to show how easy composting is. Whether you are new to composting or an old hand, we think you will find plenty of interest.
There will be practical demonstrations of the do’s and don’ts of composting, how to speed up your composting, how to use your compost, and how to use shreddings to improve your compost or use as a mulch.

Also on display will be a selection of composters (plastic, wooden and homemade), how to get a low cost Mole Valley DC compost bin, and details of excellent free composters.
Compost Works have quiet electric shredders you can borrow at very low cost.
Compost Works is a local group promoting composting in Mole Valley, supported by grants from Sita Environment Trust, SEED and Mole Valley District Council

A Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Mole Valley will be built in Leatherhead.
This unique project has been developed by Mole Valley District Council and Grundon Waste Management Ltd. to help the Council and the rest of this part of Surrey reduce the amount of household waste it sends to landfill each year. In 2001/2, Mole Valley recycled just 14% of its total household waste.
