I am starting a new Drama class for children in Brockham and Betchworth next January. My aim is for children to have fun whilst developing their confidence, self-expression and ability to work with others. The classes will include a variety of games, drama exercises, and a little singing.

Although there might be an informal showcase for parents in the summer, the emphasis is more on the children participating in a wide range of activities rather than rehearsing for a performance.

The sessions will take place on Saturday mornings at Brockham Cricket Pavilion.

9.00am - 9.45am for children in Years 1 and 2; 10.00am - 11.00am for children in Years 3 to 6.

Classes run in term-time and cost £4.00 and £5.00 respectively.

In order to give the children maximum attention, I am restricting numbers to 15 for the younger group, and 20 for the older class. I will also have an assistant teacher in the class with me. I have many years of experience as a drama teacher, having worked in a variety of schools with a mixture of ages.

I am very excited about the prospect of developing drama opportunities for children in the area. These classes will be as suitable for quiet shy children as they will be for the more outgoing ones!
